Q: How far in advance should we start planning a dry docking with THEOMNIVOLT?

A: Ideally, planning begins 6–9 months in advance. This allows sufficient time for preparing the specification, tendering to suitable yards, booking slots, and ordering long-lead items.

A: Yes. An experienced THEOMNIVOLT superintendent will attend the yard to supervise works, monitor safety, control costs, and ensure the quality of repairs meets our stringent standards.

  • Pre-SIRE Inspection

Q: Why do I need a Pre-SIRE inspection?

A: A Pre-SIRE inspection by THEOMNIVOLT is a "mock" inspection designed to identify potential deficiencies before an Oil Major inspector boards. This significantly increases the chances of a successful vetting and subsequent charter approval.

Q: Who performs these inspections?

A: Our inspectors are predominantly ex-accredited SIRE inspectors or senior Master Mariners with extensive tanker vetting experience.

Q: What types of audits does THEOMNIVOLT perform?

A: We conduct comprehensive internal audits for compliance with the ISM Code, ISPS Code, and MLC 2006. We also perform specialized navigational audits (static and dynamic), cargo operations audits, and environmental compliance audits.

Q: Are these audits meant to replace class audits?

A: No, these are internal audits designed to ensure your management system is functioning correctly and to prepare the vessel and crew for external statutory and class audits.

  • Tanker Management Self Assessment (TMSA)

Q: How can THEOMNIVOLT help improve our TMSA score?

A: We conduct an independent gap analysis of your current management systems against the latest TMSA guidelines. We then assist in developing and implementing the necessary procedures and KPIs to move from lower stages to higher stages of compliance.

Q: Do you assist with preparing for external TMSA verification audits by oil majors?

A: Yes, we prepare your office staff and organize your documentation to ensure a smooth and successful verification process.

  • Agency & Husbandry Service

Q: What is the difference between Agency and Husbandry services?

A: Port Agency refers to handling the vessel's official business with port authorities, customs, and cargo operations. Husbandry refers to services related to the crew and ship's needs, such as crew changes, medical attendance, supply of provisions, and cash to master. THEOMNIVOLT handles both seamlessly.

Q: In which global ports do you offer these services?

A: Through our combination of owned offices and vetted strategic partners, we provide reliable agency and husbandry services in major ports across Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and the Americas.
